The Joys of Watercolour

Chairman's Column

How many times have you been confronted with another situation requiring a "card" to be purchased for a birthday etc?
I have found that one of the unexpected joys of watercolour painting is that within an hour one can create a personal and wonderfully colourful card which is received with so much awe and appreciation. I leaned this art from Judy Pricktor (Rotorua). She is a master at it.
Again, I have a library of pen outlines of flowers, landscapes and boats which can be instantly copied on to watercolour paper and within a short time - hey presto - another colourful original "pen and ink" card is created.

The management committee has decided that because we cannot get a straight set of Mondays (or Tuesdays) at the NSBC, we will continue to meet at the Glenfield Hall for the rest of this year. If someone can suggest a better venue please advise either me or Joanne.
Please start preparing your entries for the exhibition in the Takapuna Library this winter.
Welcome to Grahame Langford who is learning under the tutorage of Brian Millard.
